Please Update

Happy Saturday Everyone!
As you all may have noticed some of your followers have disappeared.  This is because there have been changes.  As of Monday January 11 all people who do not have blogger with google accounts will be deleted.

Unfortunately this account was created with another account which in fact no longer exists and since I was ready to update the look of my blog I decided to switch it over.  Unfortunately I can't keep the same blogger account.

As of now you can go to http://findingyourniche2.blogspot.ca/ to my new and updated blog.  Please follow me there and I will be updating my followers from there before they completely disappear from my list.

I will keep this blog for a few weeks and then shut it down.  Also be sure to spread the word because many people aren't aware of what is happening.

To help this transition and celebrate the new launch I will have a blog candy giveaway.  You will have until January 31st to follow my new blog, share this giveaway on your blog and Feb.1st I will pick a random winner.  Good luck everyone.

Starting the New Year with a Bang!

First I would like to wish everyone a wonderful New Year! May 2016 bring creativity, prosperity, health and lots of love.

I took a much needed vacation in between the holidays and instead of resting I found myself creating pages, cards and bringing a twist to 365 Project.  Below is some of what I have been up to.

This is a page I did for my mother-in-law who wanted a page done with her beloved sister who passed away a few years ago.  This was hard for me to do because I wanted it to be perfect.  It was the one and only picture and I battled long and hard. When I brought it to her the moment I saw the tears in her eyes I knew she was pleased with the results. I am now looking for a shadow box so none of the embellishments get crushed.

My favorite wire butterfly is no longer being sold at my local dollar store.  I was so sad because I use it on almost everything.  So I played around and finally came up with something I can be happy with.  Here is the original.

Here is my version.  I shaped wire for the antenna and created the butterfly shape so it could cut on my cricut machine.

Now here are some cards having fun with my new butterflies.

And finally I hand made Calla Lily flowers.  Once again I created the shapes and saved as a svg file so it could cut on my cricut machine.  I used a doily to wrap them in.

Be sure to come back soon so I can share with you my 365 Project with a twist.  TFL! and once again Happy New Year!

Happy Sunday Everyone!
Today I want to show you a card I did using 2 Die-Namite Dies.  First I used the Spring Doily.  One of my favs BTW.  I sprayed the doily with Glimmer Mist and Adirondack Color Wash.  The second one is Leafy Flourish.  Another one of my favs.  I diecut the Leafy Flourish 4 times.  I put it under and over my Spring Doily die cut.

The papers are from Creative Imaginations 6x6 paper pad - Song Birds.  Beautiful papers.  The super big flower is from Prima.  The smaller flowers and leaves are from I Am Roses.  They are colored with distress inks.  The branches and butterfly are from the Dollar Store.  The butterfly is colored with distress inks.  TFL and enjoy the rest of your weekend.  Be sure to check out The Die-Namites Blog for awe inspiring creations using the Die-Namites Dies.

Die-Namites Man Week/Father's Day Card with Tina

Hi Everyone,
Today is Day 4 for Man Week.  By now you've seen what other team mates have created.  Are you blown away like I am.  Father's Day is right around the corner.

Today I am sharing with you a card I made using the Cattails Die from Die-Namites

The papers are from Echo Park 6x6 paper pad - Reflections.  They are a great masculine set of papers.  I cut out one of the clocks and used Tim Holtz Idea-ology mini gears and game spinners to create a realistic clock.

I used a dollar store butterfly and distress markers with a waterbrush to give the butterfly colors to match the papers.  The floss is from We R Memory Keepers - Slate.  The star button is from Jillibean Soup - Cool Beans.

For my sentiment I used distress ink on my mat with water and passed the paper over the ink.  Then I printed the sentiment.  TFL!
